Matteo Guendouzi is set to make the move from Arsenal to Marseille in a transfer deal that could be worth up to €15 million.
The French midfielder, who has been with Arsenal since he was just 16 years old, will join the Ligue 1 side on a season-long loan deal, with an option to buy him permanently.
Guendouzi has had a successful career so far, making over 100 appearances for Arsenal and helping them win the FA Cup and the Europa League.
However, he has also faced criticism for his behavior off the pitch,Bundesliga Vision including his involvement in a racist incident during a match against Crystal Palace in December 2019.
Marseille have signed several high-profile players in recent seasons, including Neymar Jr., but Guendouzi is expected to bring a fresh perspective to their squad.
He will be hoping to make an impact on the French league and help Marseille challenge for the top spots this season.
With the summer transfer window now closed, it remains to be seen how much Guendouzi will contribute to Marseille's campaign, but one thing is certain - he will certainly make an impression.
